Race report by Marco Kaufmann
The LRP Touring Car Masters took place in RĂĽsselsheim last weekend. More than 250 drivers started in five different classes. The LRP TCM is one of the highlights of the indoor season with most of the world’s best drivers attend. The European XRAY team was presented by Martin Hudy, Bruno Coehlo, Marek Cerny, Tim Wahl and me in the modified class and Jan Ratheisky and Manuel Wagner in the Stock category.

Like last year the organizer had built the biggest carpet track I have ever seen, with a 50 meters long straightaway a good flow and some nice fast chicanes. Once again, we were using the LRP CPX tires for this event. The traction became high but not as high as at ETS. We already had a good basic set-up from previous races, but there is always room for fine tuning.
Car set-up and driving both played an equally important role on the way to quick lap times.

The qualifing was very well for us. Martin Hudy showed a great performance and put his XRAY 4th on the grid. Bruno Coehlo (6th) Tim Wahl (7th) and me (10th) made also good runs and the A-Main.

The Finals was dominated by Ronald Völker, who tooked the overall victory. Martin Hudy and Bruno Coehlo made clean runs and both hold their starting position in the overall ranking.
Tim had some trouble and finished 10th behind me at the 9th Position.

Stock Class:

In the Pro Stock class, our German driver Jan Ratheisky was definitely one of the favourites for the win which he underlined by setting the early practice pace. Janâ€s car looked really good and he seemed comfortable driving it as well

In the Qualifings the battle for the top spot was between Jan and Oliver Franke. It was super close racing in the qualifing. Unfortunately Jan was not lucky enough in the last two rounds of qualifiers. At the end, Oliver took the TQ spot. He was going to have to fight Oliver Franke for the win from the 2nd spot on the grid.

The Pro Stock finals proved to be quite eventful. After passing each other a couple of times it was Oliver who tooked the overall win.
